Who am I?

My name is Sarika Bokil and I live in the idyllic Southern USA.

​

As you can guess from the name of my blog, I am a huge fan of nature and the outdoors. Being in nature gives me utmost joy and brings a sense of calm and peace no matter how my day may be. I love observing and  interacting with people of all kinds. In fact, one of my favorite pass times many years ago when I traveled often for work was to get to the airport few hours earlier, sit at the gate and observe people.  NO, I'm not a weirdo! :-)

I relish listening to people's stories because they are always interesting and I find that there is a common thread that connects us all beyond what is apparent. Oh, I also  absolutely adore kids, good humor, music and food (who doesn't like food?!!)

I am an eternal believer in the goodness of people and the goodness in the world around us. I believe that there is a lot more good in people, in all of us, than we think. This belief has been strengthened by the countless positive experiences I have had throughout my life with people - known, unknown and strangers.

An Electronics and Telecommunications engineer by education and profession, I am blessed with a wonderful family and lots of great friends.

My life has been a phenomenal ride so far and I sure hope it continues that way!
