A man who lost his father at the age of four

And grew up overnight vowing to take the family ashore;

He may have lost his childhood at an early age

But remained a child ever cheerful and enthusiastic at every stage;

He lost his eyesight but had a vision

And scaled new heights despite all the confusion;

His resilience, grit and courage put to test

He remained unfazed at every step;

Thirst for knowledge of every kind

A brilliant and an extraordinary mind;

His wit and his sense of humor

Made grave situations an easy maneuver;

Perfectionist, punctual, disciplined and organized

His principles he never compromised;

A man of few words, not the one to make tall claims

Neither craving for recognition nor fame

Simply being content and happy in his actions towards his aim;

A life well lived, full of hope and infinite possibilities

Enjoying unexpected twists and turns with great agility;

Rough waters made it a thrilling adventure

Without which he’d consider his years just another number;

To my father who will always be so dear

His precious memories I endear

I celebrate him not just on Father’s Day but every day of every year!
