Grateful

Each morning I wake up even if with occasional aches and pains;

Each night I sleep well even if amidst snores and alarm bells;

Every chance to laugh and giggle even if they bring tears that trickle;

Every experience I had even if it made me sad;

Every situation I came across even if it made me cross;

Every mistake I made even if putting a lot at stake;

Every memory of loved ones etched in my heart, even if we are far and apart.

Without these life could not be lived to thrive or to achieve.

I’m in gratitude for all that has come my way;

Adding many a color to my day;

And helped me grow on the way.
